Hi everyone,
I’ve realized I can pretty much guess how my Frenchie is doing just by looking at his poop, but it’s not always obvious where “normal Frenchie” ends and “okay, this might be a real gut issue” begins.
Some days it’s perfectly firm and brown, other days it’s more like “pudding,” and sometimes there’s a bit of mucus. He usually eats and plays like nothing’s wrong, which makes it even harder to know when I’m just worrying vs when I should actually call the vet.
Because I got tired of guessing, I put together a French Bulldog poop chart that breaks things into simple zones (healthy / watch closely / vet check) with real examples of consistency and color, plus what each pattern can mean for Frenchies specifically:

I’d really love to hear from other Frenchie owners:

I’d really love to hear from other Frenchie owners:
- What does your Frenchie’s “normal” poop look like most days?
- Have you ever discovered a real health problem that started with a small stool change?
- Does a chart like this make you feel more reassured or more like “okay, time to get this checked”?
