The two met a few years ago.
Ava is fair haired, blue eyed, very extroverted and full of life at 4 years old.
Sofi is a brunette, brown eyed, sweet, shy and also full of life at six years old
Both are beautiful in their own way.
The fair haired one is Ava, my granddaughter. She and her twin brother have a blast when they
come to visit "grandpa" (me) and my wife.
My youngest daughter and her family drove down to spend Thanksgiving with us last month.
As in the past, as soon as they arrive at our home, our Sofi goes to hide in our bathroom or closet.
Our other dogs, Charlie and Sammie are just fine with the kids.
They love our dogs and have an awesome time with them.
The grandkids are used to dogs. They have two English bulldogs at home.
For some reason, Sofi gets freaked out with the two little people running around.
We felt bad and did all we could while the grandkids were here, but Sofi would not get over it.
I decided to take the frenchies for a walk and asked my son in law to bring the twins along.
We took a nice walk during which we got caught in a rainstorm.
We got home, dried off and sat out back for awhile. In Florida, the sun comes out 10 - 15 minutes after it rains.
It was then that we noticed something very different. Sofi was right there with us!! Right by my granddaughter!!
Not hiding in the bathroom or closet!
A few minutes later, she jumped up on my granddaughter's lap and sat there with her. They were buddies!!

That little walk together did it.
All was great for the remainder of the visit.
We're thrilled that they are now friends.
Hope you enjoyed it.
