Batman is a healthy little super hero – he has some minor allergies and itchy skin, but a Benadryl keeps him pretty happy! He shares his home with two other dogs – a Boston Terrier and another Frenchie, and thrives with their company. He is not currently living with children, but he did in his prior home and was just fine with them. He has not been around cats, so per FBRN rules, no to a home with cats.

Despite his superhero name, Batman is a follower and not a leader. He will happily follow you on a leash, sleep on the couch, or chew a toy on the floor (his favorites are nylabones, tug toys, and blankets!). Batman is willing to share his food and toys and has no guarding issues. When he meets a new person he can be a little mouthy for attention (example, he may tug your sleeve to get you to pet him), but he calms down in a few minutes. All in all, Batman is a smart little man, and loves being around people. He has already mastered the commands of sit, shake, and the golden one: stay!

Batman is housetrained, but he can get a little too excited when you come home and he might tinkle (just a little!). He has had one accident in his crate, but not in the house. Batman will go in his crate (if bribed), but does not like it, likely because he spent so much time there in his prior home. He will bark for 10 minutes or so and then will quiet down. He is crated, however, with other dogs, which helps keep him calm and not feel as lonely.

An ideal home for Batman would be a family with older children, adults only, and definitely another dog for company! First time Frenchie owners are okay. A house with a fenced yard is ideal as he loves to play in the yard. An apartment would not be best since he does bark for ten minutes when put in his crate. A person who is home during the day or part of the day is ideal since he does not enjoy being left home alone. He shouldn’t be left in his crate for more than a few hours. He would also be a great office dog! When his foster mom works at home, he sleeps quietly under the desk and is quite content to do so!
