Meet Miles! An adorable 2 1/2 year old Frenchie. Miles is a sweet little lover who's big attitude was too much for his previous owners to handle. Miles will need an experienced home with no children and no other dogs. Miles does get along with other dogs but would prefer to have his human all to himself. Miles does have food aggression with other dogs. He will also resource guard his human with other dogs and sometimes other humans.
Miles loves to cuddle and at bed time he will wiggle his way under the blankets with you and nestle right into you. He loves car rides and is wonderful during bath time. He does seem to have some food allergies but has done great on a fish protein based food.
Miles is house trained and crate trained but can have accidents if left for more than 4 hours at a time.
Miles has separation anxiety so an apartment life might not be best for Miles. He's not destructive but can be very vocal about not wanting to be left alone.
Miles does need to meet with any potential adopters a few times to build his trust. Any potential adopter will be required to continue working with Miles with a trainer. Miles touchstones onto his human, that person becomes his security blanket. Once he bonds, and he can bond quickly, his human is his world.
Miles is currently working with a trainer and behavioral modification with drug therapy and we have seen improvement with Miles. His new owners MUST continue working with Miles.
He is a great little boy with a lot of love for the right person but he also needs someone to continue to show him that the world is not a bad place. Miles is currently being fostered in NJ.
Do you have room in your heart for Miles?
